Bob Mintzer, born January 27, 1953 and a native of New Rochelle, New York is a triple threat musician. He is equally active in the areas of performance, composing/arranging, and music education. While touring with the Yellowjackets or his own band, Bob is always busy writing music. Bob has played with a wide variety of artists ranging from Tito Puente, Buddy Rich, James Taylor, The New York Philharmonic, American Saxophone Quartet, Art Blakey, Nancy Wilson and Randy Brecker.
Mike Stern's career spans three decades and a discography that includes more than a dozen eclectic and innovative recordings. A six-time Grammy nominee he has established himself as one of the premier jazz and jazz-fusion guitarists and composers of his generation. He got his start with Blood, Sweat & Tears, then moved to New York, where he was recruited by Miles Davis to play a key role in Miles' celebrated comeback band of 1981. He toured with Jaco Pastorius' Word of Mouth Band and returned to Miles' lineup for a second tour of duty. Since then he has performed with everyone in jazz from Michael Brecker to Esperanza Spalding and Richard Bona.
In concert with Rodger Fox’s Wellington Jazz Orchestra, featuring some Wellingtons best known jazz talent including: Colin Hemmingsen, Alex Nyman, Matt Hitti, Lance Philip, Nick Granville, Anita Schwabe, Nick Tipping and Lex French.
