Hello & Welcome

The Manawatu International Jazz & Blues Festival has become one of the iconic events for the Manawatu.

To allow this to happen the Manawatu Jazz Club Inc. realised that an added professional basis needed to be put in place so contact was made with Rodger Fox of Rodger Fox & Associates to become the festival artistic director and organiser. Rodger Fox's name is synonymous with jazz and blues throughout New Zealand and has for the past 35 years presented some of the biggest names in jazz and throughout the country.
We are very excited about the 2011 festival line-up having secured the services of internationally acclaimed jazz artist Alan Broadbent, star jazz/blues vocalist from San Francisco Denise Perrier, the Tom Warrington trio featuring Larry Koonse - guitar and the great Joe La Barbera on Drums and for the very first time in New Zealand Bruce Forman and his band COWBOP. Add to this a full range of local and national jazz and blues artists, this is going to be a great festival. Support ‘live' music!
